The LVR-8300 also features up to 16 M12 PoE ports, making it easy to integrate network devices such as WiFi access points and/or PoE surveillance cameras for in-train WiFi sharing and remote video surveillance applications.

At InnoTrans 2016, Ransedor will showcase its LVR-8300, a fanless, modular 3U orbital communication system packaged with EN50155-compliant durability, CPU, multiple M12-protected I/O modules and data storage space. This makes it a suitable railway /MRT communication system as the brain of an intelligent railway vehicle.

The LVR-8300 is a scalable system with four modular expansion slots for Internet access, sensor connectivity, passenger information, roadside communications, and on-board train management. These modules offer a variety of I/O configurations, including serial COM, GPIO, USB, VGA/HDMI and mini PCIe sockets designed with SIM card readers for WiFi/3G/LTE connectivity. To store large amounts of video content from infotainment or surveillance systems, the LVR-8300 also offers four interchangeable 2.5-inch hard drive bays for video data storage.
